9.2 Inches of Ground Clearance with Front Skid Plate and Improved Angles
The Forester Wilderness can ride above rough terrain thanks to 9.2 inches of increased ground clearance and the added protection of a standard front skid plate. The redesigned front and rear bumpers help keep clear of larger rocks and other obstacles with improved approach and departure angles.
Matte Black Finish Wheels with All-Terrain Tires and Full-Size Spare
For better traction in all kinds of conditions, the Forester Wilderness features standard Yokohama GEOLANDAR® A/T all-terrain tires mounted to unique 17-inch matte black finish alloy wheels. You’ll feel free to explore even farther down the trail with a full-size spare wheel and tire stored below the cargo area.
Enhanced Dual-Function X-MODE®
The dual-function X-MODE is upgraded and re-tuned, with settings for snow, dirt, deep snow and mud that allow additional wheel slip to power through adverse conditions.
SUBARU BOXER® Engine and Revised Drivetrain Gearing
Along with the time-tested reliability of its direct-injection SUBARU BOXER® engine, the Forester Wilderness drivetrain features re-tuned gearing with revised ratios for improved low-speed climbing. With an upgraded towing capacity of up to 3000 pounds[2], you can bring along even more gear and adventure equipment.
