Capital Subaru of Greenville, NC recently partnered with one of our local elementary schools during the Subaru Loves to Learn Event. Two of the stores' managers went to Ridgewood Elementary School to present boxes to six of the lucky teachers. These boxes contained school supplies and a monetary prize to each of the six. Teachers are typically overworked and underpaid for the awesome job they do molding young minds. Many teachers are all too often asked to provide supplies to their classroom out of their own pocket. This does cause a strain for professionals that, in my opinion, should be paid more. This is because not all students are able to afford the supplies required for school. So, the selfless professionals jump into action, not wanting the students to be left out. The six teachers and faculty had welcomed us to the school with open arms, and were very thankful for what Capital Subaru had done for them. One teacher, Shelly Martin, who teaches first grade wrote to the dealership showing her appreciation. This is what she wrote: I wanted to reach out and thank you all again for all the support that you have given my classroom! The items that we received in the wonderful boxes have really helped me out in the classroom. I am currently in the process of selecting items with the $500 that will help improve flexible seating and station work in my classroom. I have 16 students this school year with various educational needs. The funds will help support each and every one of them! Thank you again for supporting educators!

On Wednesday, June 26th, 2024, the LLS North Carolina-Virginia Region had the opportunity of helping Capital Subaru of Greenville deliver 80 blankets to ECU Health Cancer Care in Greenville as part of the Subaru Loves to Care program. The blankets were accompanied by personalized messages of hope written by customers in the community and staff of Capital Subaru of Greenville. These gifts were warmly received by the staff and patients, with staff showing their excitement as they know how much these gifts of love and support are appreciated. It was a wonderful day and heartfelt thanks to Capital Subaru of Greenville for joining the LLS mission to create a world without blood cancer.

The Community Crossroads Center of Greenville would like to sincerely thank Capital Subaru of Greenville and Subaru of America for their generous donation of Children's coats for their Operation Warm program. The associates with these two organizations delivered many, many coats to our shelter. We gave these coats to local children in need to keep them warm during the colder months of the year. We clothed all the children in the shelter, and we also had enough to keep until they are needed again. Operation Warm was a huge success! We would like to show our gratitude to Capital Subaru of Greenville again for giving back to our Community. Please visit our website Community Crossroads enter.org to see a great picture of the coat delivery.

Community Crossroads Center would like to thank Capital Subaru of Greenville for their generous donation of socks and blankets. These donations provide much needed items for our homeless residents who live in the shelter. Being the only homeless shelter in Pitt County, we provide warm, safe shelter and warm meals to those in need in our community. We have been in continuous operation for more than 36 years. We are completely non-profit, so we rely on partners like Capital Subaru to allow us to continue to help those in need in our community. Last year we provided shelter for over 450 different individuals. We served over 33,000 warm meals to our residents. With the help of Capital Subaru, we can provide most all our residents with new socks that they badly need and warm blankets to keep them warm at night and during the day when they leave the shelter. Capital Subaru has also provided us with blankets every year for the past few years. They are a great community partner, and we thank them again for everything that they do for Community Crossroads Center. Charles Young Executive Director Community Crossroads Center

This past Saturday we had a wonderful event with Capital Subaru of Greenville, and just like every event we have with them, we had a blast. We are so incredibly thankful for Bill and his team and everything they do for their community. We had a delicious food truck. With receiving adoption applications, donations, and photos with Santa everyone had a memorable time. All the Capital Subaru of Greenville staff stopped by our table and loved on the dogs, which always means so much to me and my staff. We have always felt so welcome and supported, and we will never be able to thank them enough for what they have done and continue to do for HSEC. The Humane Society of Eastern Carolina is thankful to partner with Capital Subaru of Greenville, and we can not wait to see what 2024 has in store for our partnership. One of the sales professionals from Capital Subaru of Greenville recently ran into a customer of theirs while out and town. The customer let the salesman know that she is helping with a local non-profit organization and with the Marine Corps League. The salesman, having been in the Marine Corps, thought this was a great opportunity for the store to help with the local charity. The local charity is called Joyās Soup Kitchen. The initiative that the customer told him about is called Toys for Joy. The local group is asking businesses if they would like to participate and allow the group to set up a box in the business. The salesman asked the customer if she would mind coming in and presenting the opportunity to the General Manager. After the meeting the store was more than happy to assist in the toy collection for such a great cause. The collection box is sitting in the store's showroom, getting donations from not just the employees but also from customers stopping by with unwrapped toys for the less fortunate for the holidays. Subaru, and Capital Subaru of Greenville take pride in helping, not just during this time of the year, but all year long. Capital Subaru and Joyās Soup Kitchen are hoping that they found a long time partnership. Local businesses helping out local charities, doing their part together!

Capital Subaru of Greenville has been a huge supporter of HSEC for longer than I have been working at HSEC. Their continued dedication to the animals in eastern NC is amazing and we will never be able to thank them enough for their lifesaving contribution that has greatly impacted animals in Pitt County.

When it rains, it pours, but after the rain stops and the sun comes out you can find a rainbow! On Saturday, September 17th, Capital Subaru of Greenville was hosting an event, The Fluff and Puff. This event was a dog wash and adoption event with the Eastern North Carolina Humane Society. During the event a lady came in looking to trade her 2021 Chevy Tahoe. She had been doing research on Subarus with the safety and reviews on the vehicle. The customer, Stephanie, met Mark Messer, one of the Sales Professionals at the dealership. Stephanie let Mark know what she was hoping to accomplish. Mark showed her a couple of vehicles, the Ascent and the Forester. Once Mark started showing her the vehicles, that is when Stephanie's emotions started taking hold of her. She did not want to trade out of her Tahoe, but because of what seemed to be a list of unforeseen circumstances, she informed Mark that the reason she decided to trade out of her vehicle was to help her family out their current situation. Stephanie recently had a leak in her house causing water to fill in the bathroom. They called a plumber who actually made it worse causing a severe flood in her house and the inability to use the bathroom in their house. While trying to get the leak fixed, she was told it will cost over $11,000. Not only now is this a financial burden on the family, but also an emotional burden on the household. Stephanie's son is on the spectrum for autism, and her other son has asthma. The family has not been able to stay in hotels because of her son's condition. They also can't stay at the house because of her other son's asthma. They have been mainly staying in their camper. Once Mark showed her the Ascent she fell in love with the vehicle, and was shown she wasn't going to lose the features she loved about her Tahoe. Once inside the dealership she was so nervous about hearing if the deal would be beneficial to her family. Once we told her that we were giving her $10,000 more than her asking price on the trade and that her payments would be almost half of her current payments with a check back to her from the equity, she got very emotional again. Stephanie started crying tears of joy this time not sorrow. She hugged everyone that helped her out from Mark, to Bill the General Manager of the store, and even Bill's wife who was here to help out with the event. After talking to Stephanie more, we learned she had just recently started back to school to get her Bachelor's degree in Nursing. She has been a nurse for over 21 years, and decided that she wanted to be a school nurse to try and help as many children as possible. She also informed us that one of her sons may have Crohn's. This really effected Mark, because his mother had also had that disease, and he knew the events that come with that. Stephanie said the night before she put this in God's hands and she prayed, knowing that her faith was strong and just needed something good to come from all the recent events. She said she prayed and God gave her Mark, Bill and Capital Subaru of Greenville. Her tears of joy were almost contagious. The showroom was full of emotion and tears of joy. Before Stephanie left, we went to the food truck for the event and got her two pizzas, some chicken wings, and fries for her family. There were also bagels and pastries from the event, she got a full box of those, as well as Subaru water bottles full of lemonade for her sons. Stephanie said she heard the rumors of how nice people were at a Subaru dealership, let alone Capital Subaru of Greenville. We were told we have a customer for life from her and her family. She did not expect the level of care and compassion that everyone at the dealership provided to her. She also did not expect to get everything she was hoping for and more on the deal for her new Subaru. Thank you, Stephanie, for trusting Capital Subaru of Greenville to help you out. After the rain stops, take time to enjoy the rainbow!

This month here at Capital Subaru of Greenville we had a customer reserve a 2022 Subaru Outback. She knew that she was going to have hip replacement surgery done in a couple of weeks, and would not be able to get to the dealership to take purchase of her new vehicle. Once the vehicle came in, we got all required documents through email and phone. Knowing the customer could not walk or drive. The salesman took it upon himself to personally deliver the vehicle to her house and do a full delivery, signing all the required documents and going over the vehicle in depth with the customers mother, since the customer was unable to walk. The salesman also scheduled with her a time for when she is capable to drive to come into the dealership for a follow up on all the functions and features of the vehicle. This is just one of many ways that shows Capital Subaru of Greenville Loves their customers, and will go above and beyond to provide excellent service to all our customers.

Over the years I have purchased many vehicles in my life. Between talking with friends, watching the commercials, and many months of research, I decided to take a trip over to Capital Subaru in Greenville, NC and finally see what all the hype was about. Roughly 6 years and 5 Subaruās later, needless to say I was very pleased and have continuously been so with everyone at the dealership. From day 1, Sean Rouse has been my go to for each vehicle purchase and for any questions/information I need after. My first experience at Capital was by far the most customer friendly and personable experience I have ever had at any business. When I first stepped on to the lot with my wife, we were greeted by Sean who from the beginning was ready to help. At first introducing ourselves, we told him that we were not looking to purchase that day or potentially anytime soon. For most, that would discourage them from assisting any further. With Sean, he didnāt hesitate at all to continue to show us everything we needed to know about the different models and safety features as if we had told him we were ready to buy that day. After an hour or so of test driving vehicles, we took all the information that was given and did some thinking. As a new customer to a brand, we were very pleased to see everything Sean informed us about on the lot was verified in our independent research (if anything Sean went into even more detail than the articles). After a week or so we reached back out to Sean with what we were looking to accomplish. Given our credit situation at the time we had some concerns about a few temporary blemishes that still showed. Once we had all the paperwork submitted and waiting a response, we were sadly informed that we could not get approved in our current situation. We thanked Sean for his hard work and started discussing what our next option would be. No more than a couple of days later, we received a call from Sean saying that he had been working on a couple options in the background for us and was able to get us approved on the vehicle we wanted!!! To wrap up a long story, the fact that he continued to fight for us even after we parted ways meant so much to my wife and I. From the beginning we felt like we were working with someone that was on our side and actually looking out for us every step of the way. Years later now with my wife, daughter, and of course myself all driving a Subaru, Sean has delivered a truly amazing experience throughout each one. The managers Wayne and Matt, as well as Chris in the service department have also been wonderful to work with to make sure my family and I continue to love our Subaruās and feel apart of the Capital Subaru Family!!

Capital Subaru of Greenville goes above and beyond for not only the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina but also for other animals in need in the area. We are very lucky to have such a wonderful organization in our community. At this year's Canine Crawl Capital Subaru of Greenville, not only was a presenting sponsor, but they also paid the adoption fee for any dogs adopted on that day. We can not thank Capital Subaru of Greenville enough for their continued support of finding outstanding homes for animals in need.

Capital Subaru of Greenville has done it again! They have always gone above and beyond for the Humane Society of Eastern, and this time is no different. We received a check for $6,100 thanks to the Make a Dog's Day campaign. We partnered with Capital Subaru of Greenville on this campaign to sponsor all the adoption fees for all animals adopted in October. This wonderful opportunity waived adoption fees for 18 cats and 29 dogs! We can not thank them enough for always helping the animals in need in Eastern NC!

I have been the Director of the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina for a few years now, and we have always partnered with Capital Subaru of Greenville. The staff at Capital Subaru of Greenville love their community and the animals in it. They go above and beyond to make sure to help us find loving homes for all the animals in our care. They donate money as well as their time in making the community a better place for all. They have come to many events that we have had supporting families with pets. We have had a few adoption events with them, as well. They do a lot for the animal community, and we are very thankful that their dedication has been a huge factor in us saving lives. Thank you, Capital Subaru of Greenville, for helping us help them!

My name is Ken Baker and I am the director of Community Crossroads. We are the largest shelter for the homeless in Greenville, NC. Mr. Barbour from Capital Subaru of Greenville contacted me about the Loves to Care program and informed me his dealership had chosen us for blanket distribution. With Covid cases rising this couldn't have come at a better time because even though people are staying home our clients are rising especially with the weather getting colder. Donations have been down and the Subaru program was perfect. It takes a whole community to support us in what we offer and Capital Subaru of Greenville really stepped up. Thank you

Capital Subaru of Greenville partnered with The Humane Society of Eastern Carolina to help find forever homes for these lovable animals. The Humane Society of Eastern Carolina is a private non-profit 501c3 organization that provides temporary housing, feeding, and medical care to animals in need. Their mission is to serve as a safe haven for homeless and neglected pets until they find their forever home and to serve as a resource to the community. They were the perfect partner for Subaru Loves Pets, and for us here at Capital Subaru of Greenville to find these awesome animals forever homes. We hosted an event on Saturday 10/24/2020 from 10am until 3pm and were able to find 3 animals great forever homes. Any day a dog is adopted is a good day. To find 3 animals forever homes is an amazing day!

In mid-August, I purchased a 2020 Outback Touring XT from Capital Subaru in Greenville, NC. In mid-September, we drove it to Blowing Rock, NC for a family vacation. The 2nd day there the rear glass shattered and collapsed into the vehicle. It is still a mystery as to what happened. I called service manager Ryan at Capital and explained my situation. He in turn spoke to sales manager Wayne Barbour who the next morning had them trailer a new Outback and deliver to me in Blowing Rock. That's a 5-hour trip one way! They loaded the damaged vehicle and returned to Greenville for repairs. Within a few days, the glass was replaced and ready for delivery. Subaru covered the entire experience through warranty. I've been in business myself for 39 years and take great pride in our customer service. Capital Subaru outdid themselves! Their customer service is off the charts! I highly recommend you look into purchasing a Subaru from Capital Subaru in Greenville, NC.

Hi Wayne, I wanted to write and let you know that your team is super. (& the folks at Subaru America too). I have had my 2019 Forester at your place for the past month getting new parts put in as a result of a blown PCV valve. From the time the tow truck dropped it off to the time I picked up my car yesterday, the service department has been fantastic. They call me and let me know what's going on throughout the month. I bought my first Subaru at ABC Subaru and my current one at ABC Subaru the next one will be from you all. The service folks were awesome, and I think oddly the cherry on top of the service was, they wear masks. I was worried about people not wearing one. It was just a natural thing. I hope my car will be "OK" now, and I know if it's not, I have a new dealer I can call my Subaru dealer now. I always thought Raleigh was closer but you all are actually traffic free and convenient. Thanks, Paul

The Humane Society of Eastern Carolina (HSEC) could not be more pleased to be the recipients of the 2018 Subaru Share the Love Campaign. The very generous check for $22, 289 was beyond any expectations we had for this year. We coordinated the check presentation with the start of our 2019 Fluff and Puff Dog Wash series which we traditionally start at Capital Subaru each year. This took place April 20, 2019 from 10-12, and we made $700 washing dogs, which was excellent for a day before Easter. The check has been earmarked to start a fund to either renovate or add an additional building(s) (the Board are weighing both options as to which is best for a long-term option) to allow us to save more dogs and cats from area shelters thus reducing the euthanasia rate. Our current facility hampers our efforts to save more and this $22K+ is a great starting amount. It may take a few years to get enough funding but as a 501c3 non-profit, we also have other things to pay for such as meds, vaccinations, spays/neuters, emergency vet fees, employee salaries. So, to have money to designate strictly to a building fund is a luxury for us.

Capital Subaru of Greenville North Carolina was a premier sponsor for the Pitt Community College Foundation spring scholarship event, Accelerating the Future, held at the Pitt-Greenville Airport on Friday, March 15th. Capital Subaru recognizes the importance of assisting students in furthering their education at Pitt Community College. Over 65% of students at PCC need some sort of financial assistance. We are so grateful to Capital Subaru for not only supporting PCC but the community they belong too!

Dear Subaru, As an employee of the local public school system, I have always believed in giving and it will be given back to you. Luke 6:38 This motto proves true in everything we do. I feel that the Subaru dealers have realized this as well. The good deeds that are performed through the Love Promise campaign is a perfect example of how Subaru receives back in loyal car owners what they give through their support in our communities. Here locally for me in Eastern North Carolina, I am so happy that Capital Subaru gives back to the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina. With the recent flooding here in the Pitt County area, our local Humane Society has been at capacity with dogs and cats. So, the contributions made by Capital Subaru are definitely appreciated and well deserved. Thanks again Capital Subaru for making a difference and remember to give and it will be given back to you!! Greenville, NC, is all about one word... community! And when I spoke with Wayne Barbour from Capital Subaru of Greenville about the Biathlon and how this event is truly a community celebration of activity and the need to be outside, he did not even hesitate to say... yes! Our goal this year was to raise money for our local MS Society cycling group, The Pedaling Pirates. This group of caring cyclists will travel to ride in the Historic New Bern MS ride this fall, and will be a part of a larger group who raise funds for MS Research. Because of the support from Wayne and his Subaru Team, we surpassed our goal and were able to give more than expected. All of this because of commitment. Subaru epitomizes an active lifestyle and genuinely believes that everyone should do their best to go and explore. Perhaps not by climbing Mt Everest, but by visiting a local park, or by challenging ourselves by pushing past our mental and emotional limits and seeing what we can do, all the while having fun. The Fiesta Biathlon has always been such an event, fast for the experienced, and an experience for the beginner. We are proud that Subaru has recognized us a such for two years now! As we say, and we are sure Subaru endorses... now go outside and play!

Since 2002, the Down East Holiday Show has been the unofficial start of the holiday shopping season in eastern North Carolina. Each year, the event draws more than 10,000 shoppers and 175 vendors to the Greenville Convention Center to benefit a great cause. Presented by the Pitt Community College Foundation, the Holiday Show generates revenue for student scholarships and educational programs at PCC. Local businesses that sponsor the show play a key role in the success of students pursuing their educational goals at Pitt. We cannot thank Capital Subaru enough for partnering with the PCC Foundation to ensure higher education is accessible to all who want it. With you in our corner, we look forward to another great Down East Holiday Show in 2017 and for many years to come!

Scott Welch, GM of Greenville, NC's Capital Subaru, was truly engaged in the entire Subaru Loves to Care blanket initiative with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, NC Chapter (LLS NC), so the level of involvement of his staff comes as no surprise. Scott had just completed shooting 3 commercials (complete with costume changes), when the LLS staff arrived, yet he was excited and ready to deliver the blankets to Leo W. Jenkins Cancer Center as scheduled. One of the hospital staff members, Mary Beth, an RN in the Cancer Center, shared an interesting fact with us, and she has now been dubbed āThe Triple Threatā. Mary Beth fought and survived lymphoma last year after being treated at the same cancer center where she works. Additionally, Mary Beth is the proud owner of a Subaru purchased at Capital Subaru- hence the triple threat: she is a blood cancer patient, an employee of Leo W. Jenkins Cancer Center and a happy, Subaru driver, too!

Thank you so much to Capital Subaru for supporting the 31st Annual Fiesta Biathlon this year. It was a leap of faith for you to support new race directors, and both Delia and I appreciate it deeply. The Fiesta Biathlon is a hometown race with tradition. For 31 years this event has been held in the uptown area of Greenville, and has attracted athletes and families from around Eastern North Carolina. These are people who enjoy getting outside and participating in life, rather than just being bystanders. This year we are expanding our reach by asking the newest group of athletes... the "adult onset" athletes to give this race a shot. It is a perfect race for all abilities, for the experienced it is flat and fast, and for the new, it offers the experience of a lifetime. This year the benefactor of the Fiesta was FROGGs, otherwise known as The Friends of Greenville Greenways. Their work has been instrumental in adding enhancements to Greenvilleās greenways such as benches, shade gardens, an informational signs. Our greenways have helped people enjoy being outside and discovering the joy of moving! After it was all over, I have to say my favorite part of the race was when the last rider finished and everybody gave her a rousing round of applause. She did it, she finished her biathlon, and had a smile on her face! It is those very small victories that make this so worthwhile! Thank you again, Capital Subaru! We look forward to The 32nd Annual Fiesta Biathlon!

One of the many services capital Subaru provides is free delivery on all vehicle sales. While this is a common service, not many customers take advantage of it. However, the ones that tend to the most are parents with family members overseas. It can be hard for a single parent to do it all so we want to help in any way we can. By delivering the vehicle free of charge and picking up the trade in it saves many parents the extra trip of getting the kids out of the house and around town.

A portion of each sale from last year's Share the Love event was donated to the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina. On Saturday, March 25th, Capital Subaru held a Pet Adoption event and presented a check worth $14,746 to the HSEC. We hope this contribution will help the HSEC continue to find Fur-ever homes for a lot of lucky animals!

On August 24, 2016 Capital Subaru of Greenville made a large donation of blankets to the Leo W. Jackson Cancer Center in Greenville. It is our hope that these blankets will provide warmth and comfort to the patients during their battle. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped with this project.

On October 29th Capital Subaru of Greenville held a pet adoption event at the dealership to benefit the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina. With the help of volunteers from the HSEC the team was able to find new homes for a number of loving and appreciative pets. On top of the adoption event, Capital Subaru also collected donations of pet toys, grooming supplies, pet food and other items to present to HSEC. A big thank you goes out to all of the volunteers at the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina, the customers who made donations and to the new pet owners who adopted a new furry friend.

We would like to thank our customers for participating in our E Waste Recycling event during the month of April. With your help, we were able to prevent 2,090 lbs of carbon emissions from polluting the atmosphere. This is equivalent to saving 81 trees, 356 gallons of gasoline, 3,030 plastic bottles, and 13,936 aluminum cans. Thank you for helping strengthen the Subaru Love Promise!

Throughout the month of April, we are hosting an E-Waste Recycling Event in our store to collect unwanted electronics. We've arranged to work with a company who will responsibly collect, re-purpose, and recycle your electronic waste. Help us protect our environment. Just show up with your E-Waste and we'll do the rest! The first 50 customers who contribute will receive a complementary environmental badge of ownership. We will accept: LCD Monitors, Cell Phones, Laptops, Tablets, CRTs up to 40 inches, Video Games/Consoles, Fax Machines, DVD/VCR Players, Printers, Computer Peripherals, Switches/Routers, Cords and Wires.
Did Capital Subaru of Greenville go above and beyond, provide exceptional service, or support causes that are important to you? We'd love to hear about it.
