Each year, our dealership team proudly supports local and national organizations and initiatives through donations, events, and hands-on involvement. Through our Subaru community commitment, we help support patients undergoing cancer and other treatments, as well as collect much-needed school supplies for children, among other endeavors. We're grateful to help support the Make-A-Wish Foundation in their mission to grant life-changing wishes to the children and teens – as well as their families – battling critical health conditions. Chances to highlight organizations like the Make-A-Wish Foundation remind us just how powerful our community can be when people come together for an exceptional cause.
Similar to our support for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, our dealership also takes part in Subaru Loves to Care, a charitable community initiative led by Subaru of America that provides comfort, warmth, and financial relief to individuals fighting cancer. Our dealership in particular has recently donated blankets to patients fighting cancer in Winterville, NC. Blankets are small gestures with a meaningful purpose: They're one small way we can help keep them physically warm and emotionally encouraged while receiving care at the hospital.
Our Fill the Trunk initiative during the Subaru Share the Love event is another important way we bring our customers and employees together to give back to the community. Fill the Trunk is a recurring community donation drive where our dealership collects donations to fill an entire Subaru vehicle's trunk with food, clothing, toys, and school supplies in an effort to support local families and organizations. Every donation gets us one step closer to a full trunk and even larger community impact.
Capital Subaru of Greenville is excited to continue our Subaru community commitment with donations to a well-known program in our area: For the Love of Literacy through the Literacy Volunteers of Beaufort County. Our contribution – made possible by your patronage of our dealership – can help them continue their work of strengthening our community through literacy education and access to resources. We're incredibly proud to support this mission.
In addition to our support of the Literacy Volunteers of Beaufort County's "For the Love of Literacy" event this fall, our dealership is also proud to encourage Winterville, NC, students and educators through the Subaru Loves Learning program, a philanthropic initiative dedicated to high-need K-12 schools and finding them the resources they need to succeed.
